Crypt of the Mad Artificer

The local miners are desperate.

A mad artificer has converted an abandoned crypt into a laboratory where he hoards stolen ore from the mines and conducts fulgurous experiments. The crypt lies beneath the ruins of a chapel, now filled with mechanical automatons and dastardly devices. Worse yet, his experimentation leaked magic into the nearby tombs, causing the skeletal dead to rise from their graves.

Despite the miners’ efforts, they haven't been able to stop the artificer. The miners hire the players to bring him to justice, offering a substantial bounty for arresting him and returning the stolen ore.
